Prijedor, 27th May 2016 – The representatives of City of Prijedor participated at the initial workshop on “Promoting integrity and preventing corruption in local public services” that have been organized by PROFFS Consulting. During the workshop, the concept of integrity in local government has been presented to participants as well as the reasons why is necessary to work on strengthening integrity of the leaders of the City of Prijedor in their day to day management. Participants had opportunity to analyse current level of integrity within local government and to think about solutions how to improve it in the future.

Active role at the workshop took representatives of the leadership of the City of Prijedor as well as other administrative staff that could advocacy for applying integrity concept within local government. Next workshop will be held at the beginning of July 2016 when the administrative staff will continue with activities on development of Integrity plan of the City of Prijedor.

The workshop is a part of activities proposed within” Urban Partnership Program – Strengthening local government capacity in South-East Europe”  that PROFFS Consulting implementing in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The aim of the program is to strengthen the capacity of the local governments in South-East Europe, and to equip local elected officials, city administrators and technical staff with practical tools for decision-making, to effectively manage urban development for inclusive and sustainable growth.
